ASCII

ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. Its purpose is to represent text in computers, which is very valuable indeed. There are about 95 characters that are printable- some require special keys to be pressed, so you might want to see Tech FAQ to see all characters you can create. Even advanced systems like the SCADA requires ASCII to represent text. The ASCII standard has been applied to computers throughout the world- making communicating between computers easy enough. More information on what is printable, things you can create, and other information can be found within Tech FAQ, so be sure to check it out to take advantage of this invention.
